Charity and social enterprise BH Live has announced a £1 million investment in the gym and fitness facilities at Littledown Centre, Bournemouth.

This latest announcement follows a £400,000 investment in upgraded changing facilities at Littledown Centre last year, and reflects BH Live's ongoing commitment as the centre's operator, to reinvesting any surpluses into facilities, services and opportunities that help people lead active, healthier lives.

As one of the South Coast's leading leisure centres, Littledown welcomes thousands of visitors every week. The latest investment by BH Live will further strengthen the centre's health and wellbeing offering, creating an even better experience for members and visitors.

Further details, including plans to enhance the customer experience, will be announced in the coming weeks.

As a registered charity and social enterprise, BH Live is committed to improving health and wellbeing across the South Coast. Any surplus BH Live makes is reinvested to enhance facilities, services, and community programmes, helping more people lead active, healthier lives.

Over the past 18 months, BH Live has also invested £400,000 in upgrading Littledown Centre's changing rooms, funded a brand-new gym and café at Sir David English Sports Centre, installed a state-of-the-art EGYM smart fitness circuit at BH Live Active, Queen's Park, introduced grab-and-go café facilities at Stokewood Leisure Centre, and invested in new Technogym group cycling bikes at BH Live Active, Corfe Mullen. Together, these improvements highlight BH Live's ongoing focus on enhancing facilities and supporting people of all ages and abilities to improve their health and wellbeing through physical activity.

Located in Bournemouth, Littledown Centre is one of the South Coast's largest leisure facilities. The centre features a large gym, multiple fitness studios, a 25-metre swimming pool, learner pool, sports hall, 3G rubber crumb floodlit pitches, soft play, bar and café.

The centre hosts a wide range of activities for local communities, schools, clubs, and visitors, alongside health and wellbeing programmes designed to help people become more active and improve their quality of life.
