Bounce, climb, splash and play: BH Live Active unveils Bournemouth’s biggest ever half term line up

Young people and families across Bournemouth can look forward to a fun‑filled February half‑term, with a packed programme of activities taking place at BH Live Active leisure and sports centres.

Operated by BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise working in partnership with BCP Council, BH Live Active has expanded its junior activity programme across its leisure and sports centres to help children of all ages stay active, burn off energy, and enjoy time together throughout the half-term, whatever the weather.

From group exercise classes such as Junior Gym, Family Yoga, Trampolining, Baby Swim, and much more, there are lots of activities available to keep little ones busy. Action-packed holiday activity camps will be available at Sir David English Sports Centre, with swimming crash courses running at Littledown too.

Activities are available for babies, toddlers, children, and teens up to 17 years old. Families can explore BH Live Active’s school holiday timetable to find out what’s happening at their nearest centre.

Additional inflatable sessions will run throughout half-term to encourage more children to jump, bounce and play. In Bournemouth, these include Crusher Run pool inflatable at Littledown; AirJumpX, an indoor bounce attraction at Sir David English Sports Centre, and Raptor Run, an inflatable pool attraction at Pelhams. Soft play for tots aged 5 and under is also available at Terrace Cafés at Littledown, Pelhams and Corfe Mullen in Bournemouth and East Dorset.

For even more excitement, families can make a splash with the brand-new Rumble Run pool inflatable at Stokewood Leisure Centre. Featuring oversized demolition balls to dodge, a balancing bridge, and an exhilarating slide, the attraction promises up to 45 minutes of high-energy fun for both pay-as-you-go thrill seekers and partygoers.

Other popular pool activities, including Wet & Wacky, a much loved pool play experience featuring inflatables, floats, and water toys, will be running at Stokewood Leisure Centre and other BH Live Active pools during the school holidays.

Free swimming is also available for all under 5s at BH Live Active pools in Bournemouth when accompanied by a full paying adult or an adult BH Live Active member.

On behalf of BH Live, Bobby Cole, Group Swim & Junior Activities Manager, shared;
