This summer, families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are in for treat.
Local charity and social enterprise BH Live has rolled out another bumper timetable of leisure centre activities and attractions guaranteed to keep kids of all ages moving, smiling, and entertained throughout the holidays, come rain or shine.
BH Live is committed to helping children and young people stay active, social, and healthy. With an expanded range of junior activities available at BH Live Active centres across the city, there’s something for young people of all ages and abilities.
This year’s summer highlights include:
With classes and activities tailored for babies, preschoolers, and juniors up to the age of 17, family and junior classes are a great way for young people to stay active, make friends, and try something new.
Soft play for tots aged 5 and under is also available at Terrace Cafés at Littledown, Pelhams and Corfe Mullen.
Splashing fun!
Make a splash on the Crusher pool inflatable at Littledown and RaptorRun at Pelhams. Navigate obstacles, slides, climbing walls and more with these jam-packed inflatable pool based assault courses. Extra public swimming sessions, including Wet & Wacky, have also been added to timetables following customer demand.
Jump, bounce, and play at AirJumpX at Sir David English Sports Centre
Scramble up and over a giant slide, jelly mountain, and wipe-out balls on this fun and colourful assault course.
Committed to inclusivity
BH Live is dedicated to ensuring every child can join the fun.
This year, BH Live is additionally launching HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme Funding) funded multi-sports holiday camps at Sir David English Sports Centre. Offering healthy meals and engaging activities for children aged 5–11, the funded spaces are offered to children in receipt of benefits-related free school meals
Funded through BCP Council’s HAF Fund, the sessions are designed to inspire more young people to get active during the school holidays at no cost. More information and booking can be found online.
Trampolining sessions at Littledown are also available for home-educated children aged 5-17 on Monday and Thursday mornings. Supervised by a British Gymnastics qualified coach, the sessions provide a fun and social opportunity for children to meet other home-educated students.

BH Live Active, Queen’s Park and Corfe Mullen are operated by BH Live. Sir David English Sports Centre is operated by BH Live in partnership with Bournemouth School Charitable Trust. Littledown Centre, Pelhams and Stokewood are operated by BH Live in partnership with BCP Council.
