MountAirX, a giant inflatable attraction at Mountbatten Leisure Centre in Hilsea, is launching brand-new play sessions and parties to inspire more young people to have fun getting active together.

Since launching in October 2025, MountAirX has welcomed over 2,000 attendances, another positive outcome for BH Live’s continued investment into its junior activity provision in the city.

BH Live has since expanded the MountAirX timetable to offer more children and families across Portsmouth the opportunity to bounce, climb, and slide.

NEW sessions for Under 5s offer a fun and safe environment for little ones to move and play, while SEND sessions offer a fun and less stimulating experience for children with additional needs. Visitors are encouraged to check BH Live Active’s junior activity timetable for more information about session availability and prices.

Visitors of all ages can now also take their birthday celebration to new heights of excitement thanks to the launch of MountAirX and MountAirXL parties. Perfect for energetic youngsters, and older thrill seekers who love a challenge and plenty of action.

A MountAirX party offers endless opportunities for fun and play challenging balance, agility, and speed in a safe and thrilling space. Features include Wipeout Balls, Jelly Mountain, Volcano Slide, Freefall, Double Slide, and the X Zone.

It goes large too – MountAirXL is double the size, double the action and double the fun. Spanning the entire sports hall, 12 adrenaline-packed features include a Beat the Wall challenge and an interactive Trailblazer climbing wall.

Sessions for MountAirX and MountAirXL are available on a pay-as-you-go basis and are bookable up to seven days in advance in-centre, via the BH Live Active app or online. Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Mountbatten Leisure Centre is owned by Portsmouth City Council and operated on their behalf by registered charity and social enterprise BH Live.

Attractions such as Clip N’ Climb, MountAirX, and AquaDash are just some of the junior activities on offer across the city as part of BH Live Active’s regular timetable.

Group exercise classes such as Junior Gym, Athletics, Trampolining, and much more are suitable for children of all ages, including babies, pre-school, and juniors up to the age of 17. Visitors are encouraged to visit BH Live Active’s online class timetable or the BH Live Active app to see what’s available at their local centre

Additionally, Portsmouth’s largest indoor soft play and bounce attraction - Exploria at Pyramids in Southsea - offers a range of exciting experiences and opportunities to run, jump, and slide for visitors aged 6 months and upwards.
