FREE body composition testing coming to Mountbatten

Next month, free body composition testing will be held at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre to help more individuals evaluate their metabolic health and overall fitness.

Body composition testing uses medically validated seca™ scales to provide an analysis of participants’ muscle mass, bone density and body fat percentage. The results can be used to help individuals understand how they can optimize their strength, endurance and overall athletic performance.

A representative from seca™ will lead participants through the test before discussing their results. The results will also be sent to the participant’s email following the appointment.

The appointments will take place on Monday 16 September 2024, 1pm – 7pm, and Tuesday 17 September 2024, 7am – 1:30pm. No booking is required – simply enquire at reception on the day.

Mountbatten Centre welcomes more than 30,000 visitors every week and is Portsmouth’s flagship leisure and event venue. It is equipped with a large gym with dedicated cardio and weight areas as well as multiple fitness studios where group exercise classes including Les Mills™ Body Pump, Pilates, group cycling, and many more take place seven days a week. An outdoor velodrome and athletics track hosts regular training, events and competitions throughout the year.

There is also a 50-metre swimming pool (divided into two) and a learner pool with regular public swimming sessions, pool-based classes and lessons. The swimming pool is frequently booked for galas and competitions including regional and national championships.

Mountbatten Centre is also home to a large pool inflatable obstacle course – AquaDash! – perfect for young people, group bookings and parties. Spa facilities include a sauna, spa bath and steam room.
