Security

Let’s keep each other safe and make your visit as enjoyable as possible

Your safety and security are our utmost priority. We have a close working relationship with local policing teams and security partners. Together we share best practices and intelligence, regularly assessing activities and events, and putting appropriate security measures in place.

Our team is trained to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable visit. Our employees receive regular security and response training, and we encourage vigilance at all times. When you visit, you’ll see lots of things we are doing to help keep you safe. This includes security checks and monitoring, CCTV, and regular patrols. We are also doing lots of great work behind the scenes and while you may not see it, be reassured it is happening 24/7.

You can help do your bit too.

Getting ready to visit

Before you arrive, please make sure you are aware of any centre, event or activity guidance.

What can you bring?

Bring what you need to carry out your activity - lockers are available for you to use but items are stored at your own risk. Generally, we advise not to bring any unnecessary or high-value items into centre.

If you are arriving by bicycle, we recommend using a high-quality D-lock to deter theft. Please do not leave any valuables on display if parking at centre – see individual centre pages for parking information and restrictions.

In general video cameras, recording devices and professional cameras are not permitted unless it has been agreed by the centre’s management team or event organiser. Please check and pay attention to any guidance, signage or instructions.

Security checks at events

If attending an event, please allow plenty of time to go through security. This helps prevent large queues and delays getting in. Please be cooperative and patient - we are doing this to help keep everyone safe.

How you can help

We all have a vital role in helping to keep everyone safe. Here’s a few things you can do;

  • Stay alert to people filming security exits, entrances CCTV or anything else that doesn’t feel right. If you see or hear something suspicious, trust your instincts. Tell our staff or security team straight away – do not wait or assume someone else will report it. You will not be wasting our time.
  • Don’t leave any bags unattended or agree to look after someone else’s belongings. If you see unattended items or someone acting suspiciously, tell us straight away.
  • If you need assistance, please speak with us. Listen carefully to any announcements and follow instructions.

Zero tolerance

Coming into a leisure centre and attending events should be fun and safe for everyone.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of anti-social behaviour towards others. This includes behaviour that causes harm, discomfort, or offence. We will not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse, harassment, discrimination, or disruptive actions.

Any individual engaging in anti-social behaviour may be refused entry or subject to immediate removal with no right to a refund.

Together, let’s have an enjoyable time and look out for each other
