Important parking changes at BH Live Active, The Quays

We’re making some updates to improve your experience when parking at BH Live Active, The Quays.

What’s changing?
From Sunday 1 March 2026, parking permits for both the North and South car parks will no longer be valid. Instead, we’ll be introducing Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to streamline parking access.

Free parking still available
Don’t worry, you can still enjoy up to three hours of free parking when attending an activity at BH Live Active, The Quays. Just enter your vehicle registration details in centre when you arrive to activate your free parking period.

Need more time?
If you plan to stay longer than three hours, information on how to pay for extended parking will be clearly displayed in the car park to guide you through the process.

Frequently asked questions

BH Live Active customers (members and non-members) attending an activity inside BH Live Active, The Quays will receive up to three hours of free parking as long as they enter their vehicle details on arrival.

Yes, you’ll need to enter your registration on a tablet inside the centre each time you visit for an activity.

Inside BH Live Active, The Quays, through the turnstile at reception

If you forget to enter your registration, you will be issued a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) from Horizon Parking. Charge and payment terms will be detailed on the PCN.

If you believe you have been issued a PCN incorrectly, full details on how to appeal can be found on the PCN.

Please speak with a member of the team in centre.

You will need to continue to display your permit when visiting BH Live Active, The Quays until Sunday 1 March 2026. After this time, it will no longer be valid and can be destroyed.

Horizon Parking is managing the car parks on behalf of BH Live.

BH Live is a registered charity and operates the centre in partnership with Southampton City Council.

No. Up to three hours free parking is only for BH Live Active customers while they are attending an activity at BH Live Active, The Quays.

Parking charges for other visits are displayed in the car park.

If you are visiting BH Live, The Quays please liaise with your contact at the centre regarding the parking arrangements.

Charges will apply in the car park 24/7. There is no free overnight parking

Yes. Blue Badge Concessions do not apply.

Please park in an accessible space (if available) and display your Blue Badge or Disabled Tax Exempt Vehicle permit as usual.

If you are attending an activity inside BH Live Active, The Quays please enter your registration details to get up to three hours of free parking.

No – The Quays North and The Quays South are all covered by the same tariff and rules and restrictions.
