Learn to Dive Programme

Be a part of the BH Live Active Learn to Dive programme in our incredible diving facility at The Quays, home to many Olympic medallists and international level divers. Learn skills starting at complete beginner through to a competitive diver.

Our Learn to Dive programme, delivered in partnership with the Swim England Award Scheme, enables participants to progress through each level while earning badges and certificates along the way.

Learn to Dive

New starters can enrol in our combined Learn to Dive Stage 1 & 2 courses. Divers will progress through the levels as they successfully achieve the relevant awards.

Participants must be aged between 6-12 years and must be able to swim 25m unaided without goggles.

Talent Identification

Our Talent Identification programme is designed to discover and nurture promising young divers. Participants join one of our three talent groups, learning the core fundamentals of diving through an accelerated development pathway.

Talent ID

  • Divers are scouted from our Learn to Dive programme, local schools and through our summer recruitment campaigns.
  • The programme provides focused training to develop skills quickly, preparing divers for competitive diving.
  • Successful participants may progress to the Southampton Diving Academy, with opportunities to compete at regional and national levels.

Southampton Diving Academy Club

Be a part of the Southampton diving academy which is home to one of five 10m facilities in the country, has been home to Olympic medallists and today is renowned for National and international success at all age groups.  

Southampton Diving Academy

  • The Southampton Diving Academy is an invite-only programme made up of structured skill levels and classes, including age-group squads, elite squads, and masters diving. Each level is designed to develop divers’ skills with the aim of competing at regional and national level.
  • Participation in competitions requires divers to be registered members of the Southampton Diving Academy.
