Following customer feedback, we’re excited to share that Littledown Centre’s health and fitness facilities are being transformed thanks to a £1 million investment from BH Live. 

Throughout November and December 2026, we'll be transforming the gym's cardio and strength training areas, while also creating a brand new dedicated EGYM studio, plus recovery, and wellness spaces. 

You'll benefit from: 

• Brand-new Precor cardio and strength equipment, including more than 140 workout stations 

• New EGYM studio with smart fitness equipment for personalised body stats and tech-enabled workouts 

• Recovery and functional training areas featuring Reach Wellness equipment 

• Modern plate-loaded strength training equipment, including dedicated glute machines 

• Innovative functional zone, incorporating sled tracks, ski erg, and wall ball stations 

• New flooring, lighting and décor throughout the gym 
  
  

Temporary gym closures 

To complete these improvements as quickly as possible, access to the gym will be affected during the following dates: 

• Monday 9 November 2026 – one-day closure (whole gym) 

• Tuesday 10 November – Sunday 29 November – partial gym closure, some areas and equipment will still be available 

• Monday 30 November to Sunday 20 December 2026 - Full gym closure. The male, female and accessible gym changing rooms will also be unavailable. 

The refurbished gym and brand new EGYM studio will open on Monday 21 December 2026. We'll keep customers updated throughout the project. 

Temporary gym available 

Gym refurbishment work will take place in phases to minimise disruption.  

From Tuesday 10 November to Sunday 29 November a temporary gym with cardio, functional equipment and resistance machines will be available. 

Good to know… 

• Reduced capacity may mean it may be busier than usual 

• Some equipment and areas may be unavailable 

• Expect extra noise during the works 

• Gym floor classes may move or be cancelled 

Alternative BH Live Active gym facilities (included in BH Live Active membership and available on PAYG) are also available at Pelhams, Stokewood, Sir David English Sports Centre, Queen's Park and Corfe Mullen – ask our team or see website for centre opening times.
